Recycling at City University of Seattle (CityU), Vysoka Skola Manazmentu (VSM)

Recycling is part of taking care of our environment. What is becoming a daily environmentally friendly routine in Slovak households often does not exist on our Slovak university campuses. Establishing recycling programs at educational institutions takes time, money, expertise and commitment; however, CityU/VSM in Trencin is one of first schools to start a recycling program. In May, the students of CityU/VSM will launch a pilot recycling program for 80 students who live at the school campus. Although this number may seem small in the “big picture”, it represents a possible model for similar projects at other schools. This group project is fully executed by a team of BSBA students as part of their Project Management course. By allowing students to be fully responsible for such a unique project, CityU/VSM adds practical value to the classroom experience.
