Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes: more and more flexible mobility

Within the framework of the new Erasmus+ programme period (2021-2027) School of Management (VSM, Slovakia) offers Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP).

What is BIP?

BIP are short and intensive training programmes combining physical mobility with a virtual part.  It promotes innovative ways of training, research-based and challenge-based professional discussion. 

The virtual part will allow trainers and trainees to meet and discuss BIP topics within a virtual international environment accessed from home. The physical short-term mobility will allow the face-to-face cooperation of trainers, teachers and university staff.

VSM offers BIP to support an important enlargement and flexibility of Erasmus mobility. BIP enlarge the mobility dimension by receiving participants that stay at home institutions (except during the short-term physical mobility at VSM) and allow the participation of VSM teachers and staff (internationalization at home).

Who provides support for the physical mobility within BIP? 

Erasmus funds – the individual support to teachers and university staff for the physical mobility should be provided by the sending organization, that can use their own regular Erasmus funds for mobility. 

VSM/BIP – the host institution will provide:

• Training sessions and the virtual proceeding of participants' presentations (ISBN included)
• Daily lunches (Monday to Friday), sightseeing tour in Bratislava, culture and gastronomy program, and farewell gala dinner.

Program Overview:

1. Virtual Sessions (March 2025):
   • Introduction to the challenges of digitalization for the nowadays society and economy.
   •  Strategies to face diverse challenges of digitalization.
   • Group discussion.
2. Physical Mobility in Bratislava (April 7, 2025 - April 11, 2025): 

Day 1: Orientation and introduction to the local environment and culture 

/ Program 1:  Sightseeing tour in Bratislava.

Day 2: Interactive workshops on digitalization and its impact on the society 
Day 3: Interactive workshops on digitalization and its impact on the economy

/ Program 2:  Discovering local culture and gastronomy 

Day 4: Case studies and specific issues of digitalization in the nowadays world 
Day 5: Conclusions, reflections and closing ceremony

/ Program 3:  Farewell gala dinner
