Management Challenges in the 21st Century: 2012

Topic of the Conference in 2012:

“Sustainability: A Moving Target?
Economic, Social, Cultural, Ethical, and Environmental Issues in Time of Economic Reccesion“

Conference objective:

The aim of the conference is to raise an academic discussion on different facets of sustainability issues, with a special focus on the relationship between sustainability and economic recession. The recent global economic crisis has brought forward a new perspective on sustainability questions, however, not thoroughly investigated yet. The conference`s goal is to encourage interdisciplinary contributions from different fields of application of the principles of sustainability in the view of economic recession and upcoming challenges of the 21st century. It highlights namely the economic, social, cultural, ethical and environmental focus. We invite academicians as well as practitioners from all related areas to participate in this upcoming scientific event.

1. Conference languages: English, Slovak and Czech.
2. Contributions of participants will be published in referred conference proceedings (CD).
3. Maximum length of an abstract is 20 lines, maximum length of a paper is 20 pages, format A4.
4. Deadline for submission of an abstract in the electronic form: January 23, 2012.
5. Deadline for submission of a contribution in the electronic form: March 20, 2012.
6. Registration for the conference: March 20, 2012.
7. Abstracts and contributions to be sent to: avicenova@vsm.sk
8. Conference fee: 50,00 EUR.
9. The conference fee has to be paid: by March 20, 2012
10. A detailed program of the conference will be sent to all registered participants.
